Our New York practice operates as NYHD Institute for Hearing and Balance, founded by Craig A. Kasper, AuD. The team has built one of the region’s most established tinnitus programs, with audiologists who hold specialized tinnitus credentials and who treat tinnitus, hyperacusis, and sound sensitivity as a primary focus rather than an afterthought.
NYHD was the first practice in the greater New York City area to offer Lenire, the FDA-approved bimodal neuromodulation device for tinnitus. Care is available at three locations: Midtown East in Manhattan, Harrison in Westchester County, and Garden City on Long Island. Every patient also has access to the national Treble Health® clinical team and our telehealth program.

Meet your New York Tinnitus Team
Natalie Crossland, AuD
Clinical audiologist and tinnitus specialist
Dr. Crossland holds the Tinnitus Management certificate (CH-TM) from the American Academy of Audiology and has specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy approaches as a non-behavioral health provider. She earned her doctorate at Western Michigan University and her bachelor’s degree at Purdue University Fort Wayne. She builds individualized plans for patients with hearing loss, tinnitus, and sound sensitivity, and she counsels musicians on hearing protection with custom earplugs and in-ear monitors. She’s a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and the American Tinnitus Association.
Jenna Trupp, AuD
Audiologist
Dr. Trupp earned her doctorate in audiology and her bachelor’s degree in hearing and speech sciences from the University of Maryland, with a minor in Spanish. She specializes in tinnitus assessment and treatment alongside vestibular and neurodiagnostic testing, which means patients with both tinnitus and dizziness can be evaluated thoroughly in one place. Her approach to care is holistic, looking at the full picture rather than a single symptom.
Kenneth D'Auria, AuD, CCC-A
Senior audiologist
Dr. D’Auria’s work covers audiological assessment, tinnitus management, preventive hearing health, and prescriptive hearing instrument fitting and verification. He earned his doctorate at Hofstra University through the Long Island Consortium and his bachelor’sdegree at SUNY New Paltz. Several years in a private otolaryngology practice in New York City shaped how he listens to patients and how he builds a plan around what they actually need.

Lenire is the first FDA-approved bimodal neuromodulation device for tinnitus. It pairs customized sound through headphones with gentle electrical stimulation on the tongue, in 30-minute sessions twice a day over 12 weeks. Our New York audiologists are trained Lenire providers and offer it at the Manhattan and Garden City locations.
Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, or TRT, was developed by Dr. Pawel Jastreboff and is one of the most established approaches to long-term tinnitus relief. It combines sound therapy with structured counseling to help the brain habituate to tinnitus, so the sound stops commanding your attention. Treble Health’s founder, Dr. Ben Thompson, trained directly under Dr. Jastreboff.
