Dr. Suzanne May, AuD

Doctor of Audiology 20+ years of experience

Tinnitus and Hearing expert, with experience at the Department of Veteran Affairs in California.

Dr. Suzanne May has been an Audiologist for 18 years helping patients of all ages with hearing loss and tinnitus. She got her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida and had training from the California Ear Institute at Stanford. Dr. May began her career working as a Regional Training Audiologist with GN Resound, a major hearing aid manufacturer, presenting at national conferences on hearing device technologies.

Dr. May has tinnitus herself and enjoys helping patients learn how to manage tinnitus. For the majority of her career, Dr. May has worked at a major hospital in Sacramento, California. She has presented educational seminars to physicians on hearing loss and tinnitus.

Dr. May joined Treble Health in 2022. She is board certified with the American Board of Audiology with an additional Board Certification in Tinnitus Management. She has also obtained a certificate in Progressive Tinnitus Management from the Department of Veteran Affairs. Dr. May is a fellow of the American academy of Audiology, and she has acted as a Subject Matter Expert for the State of California licensing board.

Dr. Ben Thompson, AuD

Doctor of Audiology Tinnitus YouTuber with 100k+ subscribers

Founder of Treble Health, with experience at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Ben Thompson is an audiologist and tinnitus expert. He received his Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) degree in 2018 from University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California. Dr. Thompson completed his residency at University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) and is a past board member of the California Academy of Audiology (CAA). He received a certificate of competence in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) from Dr. Pawel Jastreboff in 2021. Dr. Jastreboff is the founder of TRT.

Dr. Thompson founded Treble Health (formerly known as Pure Tinnitus) in 2020. He has a popular YouTube channel and has created over 100 educational videos about tinnitus management and hearing health. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor adventure sports like trail running and surfing.

Dr. Ramsay Poindexter, AuD

Doctor of Audiology 20+ years of experience

 Tinnitus and Hearing expert, with experience at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Ramsay Poindexter has been enthusiastically serving patients with tinnitus and hearing loss for eighteen years. She began her career at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where she mentored with Robert Sweetow, Ph.D., a world-renowned audiologist specializing in tinnitus management. Dr. Poindexter has a longstanding history of somatic tinnitus that she has successfully been managing with Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT), enhancing her deep personal and professional understanding of tinnitus.

The majority of her career has been spent in private practice in San Mateo, California. She has provided research support in product development, pre-product release testing, and field study services to various hearing device manufacturers and Apple Inc, as well as for safety and efficacy studies for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Dr. Poindexter joined Treble Health in 2021. She is board certified with the American Board of Audiology with an additional board certification in Tinnitus Management from the American Board of Audiology. She is a Fellow and member of the American Academy of Audiology and the California Academy of Audiology. She served on the Board of Directors in elected positions with the California Academy of Audiology from 2014-2019.

Dr. Garrett Thompson, AuD

Doctor of Audiology 10+ years of experience

Tinnitus and Hearing expert, with experience at a top private practice in New York City. 

Dr. Garrett Thompson is a licensed audiologist who has been serving patients with hearing loss in New York City since 2013. He received his Doctor of Audiology degree from the City University of New York, has completed clinical rotations at multiple hospitals, and for his residency he spent a year at the internationally renowned Callier Center for Communication Disorders in Dallas, Texas. He has spent the last five years in private practice on the upper east side of Manhattan. He is a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. He has been published in various industry websites and trade journals.

Dr. Thompson has years of experience with hearing aid technology, including Oticon, Phonak, Widex, Starkey, ReSound, Unitron, and Lyric extended-wear hearing aids. He is also happy to discuss the pros and cons of EarGo, Lively, Bose Sound Control, CostCo aids, Apple Airpods, and OTCs.

Dr. Marni Novick, AuD

Tinnitus and Hearing expert, leading our Silicon Valley CA clinic location. Founder of Silicon Valley Hearing, specializing in tinnitus management, hearing aids, and auditory processing disorders in children.

Dr. Marni Novick founded Silicon Valley Hearing after her own experience with hearing loss, driven by a mission to help others communicate with their loved ones and enjoy hearing as she does. She specializes in tinnitus management, hearing aid fittings, and helping children with auditory processing disorders. She is a board-certified Doctor of Audiology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Doctors of Audiology, and holds Certificates in Tinnitus Management and Clinical Preceptorship. She is also a certified Lenire provider, offering this breakthrough bimodal tinnitus treatment to South Bay patients.

Dr. Patty Anderson, AuD

Dr. Michelle Neidleman Kennedy, AuD

Dr. Michelle Neidleman Kennedy received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) degree in 2013 from Montclair State University in New Jersey. Michelle completed her fellowship and worked for several years at the nationally ranked New York University (NYU) Langone Health. There she provided a variety of  healthcare services, including tinnitus management and hearing aids.

She later worked at the number one hospital in New Jersey, Hackensack University Medical Center. Michelle has also been a board member of the New Jersey Academy of Audiology for several years.

She is a published author in the American Journal of Audiology, as well as a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Dr. Gail Brenner, AuD

Dr. Gail Brenner, Au.D. is a board-certified Doctor of Audiology with a career dedicated to helping patients understand and manage tinnitus, hyperacusis, and disorders of sound tolerance. As the founder of The Tinnitus Treatment Center of Philadelphia, one of the only clinics in the greater Philadelphia area exclusively focused on tinnitus, Dr. Brenner has built a reputation for evidence-based, patient-centered care.


With decades of clinical experience, Dr. Brenner brings both deep audiological knowledge and a warm, methodical approach to each patient she sees. She understands that tinnitus is not just a symptom, it affects sleep, concentration, mood, and everyday quality of life. Her treatment philosophy is rooted in thorough evaluation, honest communication, and personalized care plans designed around each patient’s goals and lifestyle.

Dr. Diana Vetere, AuD

Doctor of Audiology 10+ years of experience

Tinnitus and hearing expert  with experience at top practices in New York City.

Dr. Diana Vetere has been providing audiologic care to patients with tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia for ten years. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Northwestern University and has undergone specialized Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) education with Dr. Jastreboff, a world-renowned pioneer in tinnitus research and management.

Dr. Vetere’s clinical experience spans from hospitals to private practice. Dr. Vetere worked at Weill Cornell Medicine, a fast-paced hospital in New York City, where she worked as part of a multi-collaborative team to implement the first tinnitus management program. She then went on to become the successful owner of a tinnitus practice on Long Island. During this time, Dr. Vetere developed and implemented personalized treatment plans for patients suffering from chronic tinnitus, leveraging a combination of TRT, counseling, and auditory therapies to deliver comprehensive care.

Dr. Vetere remains dedicated to delivering optimal audiologic and tinnitus care to her patients. She holds a Board Certification in Tinnitus Management from the American Board of Audiology and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology where she serves on the professional leadership team.

In her spare time, Dr. Vetere enjoys spending time with her family, going on nature walks, and traveling.

Dr. Breanne Hyman, AuD

Dr. Breanne Hyman obtained her doctorate in audiology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, completing her externship at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, CO. She began her career at a private practice focusing on tinnitus in Denver, before moving back home to the Tampa area.

Dr. Hyman joined Treble Health in 2023. She has board certification Tinnitus Management from the American Board of Audiology. She enjoys working from home with her fiancé and golden retriever and is a big Tampa Bay Lighting fan!

Dr. Melissa Karp, AuD

Tinnitus and Hearing expert, leading our Charlotte NC clinic location. Specializes in tinnitus treatment and Auditory Processing Disorder (APD).

Dr. Karp is an Audiologist with over 20 years of experience helping patients in Charlotte, North Carolina, manage hearing loss, tinnitus, and auditory processing disorders. She is passionate about providing personalized, compassionate care that empowers her patients to improve their hearing and overall quality of life.

She earned her Master’s degree in Audiology from Vanderbilt University, where she trained under leading experts in hearing science, and went on to complete her Doctor of Audiology (AuD) at the University of Florida. Her clinical training emphasized diagnostic audiology, tinnitus care, and auditory rehabilitation, preparing her to support patients with a wide range of hearing needs.

In 2016, Dr. Karp founded Audiology & Hearing Services of Charlotte, where she built a respected practice focused on patient-centered audiology care. She has decades of experience fitting hearing aids, guiding patients through auditory rehabilitation, and supporting those struggling with tinnitus. Her evidence-based approach is grounded in both her advanced training and her years of direct clinical experience.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and board certified by the American Board of Audiology. She specializes in tinnitus treatment and auditory processing evaluation, combining her expertise with a warm, supportive style of care.

Outside of audiology, Dr. Karp enjoys spending time with her family and engaging in her local community. She has called Charlotte home for many years and is proud to continue serving patients in the region.

Dr. Ivy Saul, AuD

Hearing Expert, based out of Charlotte NC clinic location. Specializes in adult hearing loss treatment and hearing aid fittings.

Dr. Saul is an Audiologist with decades of experience supporting patients with hearing loss and tinnitus in both North and South Carolina. She is known for her thoughtful, individualized approach to care, working closely with each patient to create solutions that match their unique needs and lifestyle.

 

A proud Michigan State Spartan, Dr. Saul earned both her undergraduate and Master’s degrees from Michigan State University.  Dr. Saul earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. Completing her program online allowed her to collaborate with leading professionals from around the world. Through this global learning experience, Dr. Saul gained exposure to diverse perspectives in hearing science and patient care, which continue to influence her evidence-based approach to audiology today. While the program was academic and research-focused rather than clinically based, it provided a strong foundation in auditory diagnostics, hearing aid technology, and tinnitus management.

 

Dr. Saul holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (F-AAA). She is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina, allowing her to provide care to patients throughout the region.

 

Her clinical focus is on advanced hearing aid technology, tinnitus support, and delivering high-quality audiology care that patients can trust. She is deeply committed to improving the everyday lives of her patients through better hearing and tinnitus management.

 

Outside of audiology, Dr. Saul enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and exploring the outdoors.

Dr. Kristen Barton

Dr. Kristen Barton has a deep passion for helping those with tinnitus and hyperacusis, specializing in providing individualized care rooted in compassion, evidence-based practices, and the latest advancements in tinnitus treatment. Her goal is to support patients in finding relief and regaining control over their lives.

 

Dr. Barton earned her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Oklahoma, where she spent much of her graduate training contributing to tinnitus research and gaining hands-on experience in a dedicated tinnitus clinic. She later completed her externship and subsequent five years at a nonprofit clinic in Oklahoma City, where she developed and implemented a comprehensive tinnitus program integrating sound therapy, cognitive behavioral strategies, and tools like Lenire.

 

Now at Treble Health, she continues to help individuals navigate the challenges of tinnitus and hyperacusis by listening closely, tailoring treatment, and walking with each patient on their unique path toward relief.

 

Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and staying active—whether it’s cheering on a favorite team or enjoying the outdoors.

Dr. Caroline Millsaps, AuD

Dr. Millsaps is an Audiologist dedicated to helping patients with hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance challenges. She is passionate about improving her patients’ well-being by combining advanced clinical training with a compassionate, patient-first approach.


She earned her Doctor of Audiology (AuD) from East Tennessee State University, where she received broad-based training in diagnostic audiology, tinnitus care, and vestibular assessment. During her clinical residency, she gained extensive experience in both private practice and ENT settings, treating patients across the lifespan.


Dr. Millsaps holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) and is a Certificate Holder in Tinnitus Management (CH-TM), demonstrating her specialized expertise in tinnitus care. She is licensed in North Carolina and provides comprehensive audiology services, including diagnostic testing, tinnitus therapy, and hearing aid fitting.

Dr. Tyler Ellis, AuD

Tyler Ellis is a Seattle-based audiologist with seven years of specialized experience in tinnitus and hyperacusis care. He focuses on helping people reduce tinnitus distress and regain quality of life through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

 

He earned his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Iowa, a top-ranked program known for clinical and research excellence. Tyler is highly proficient in fitting prescription hearing aids and sound therapy devices, including the Neuromod Lenire bimodal neuromodulation device. He coordinates strategic use of these tools to support tinnitus habituation or sound desensitization.

 

A distinguishing aspect of Tyler’s approach is his integration of different psychological frameworks into tinnitus care. He draws inspiration and strategies from Internal Family Systems, Somatic Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and others, to meet individuals where they are and meaningfully improve their relationship with tinnitus. His approach tends to be more relational and less didactic/hierarchical.
